And now I get people telling me that they called the club but no more tables left. News of the party went out over more than a week ago. What do you expect when you decide things at the LAST MINUTE (again)? Complain to me now also no use. Like I said, I'm merely booked by the club. I don't work for them. No more tables means no more tables. Even dig backside also don't have. Sorry. Last minute don't expect people to do a "copperfield".
When informed of the party, some even had the cheek to tell me, "see how first!"
Now see how? Bring your own foldaway table from IKEA. While you're at it, bring some cards and the Mahjong set as well. Hell... bring the steamboat too!
For those that have flooded out phone and email boxes regarding the reservation of tables and etc, please note that you're to contact the respective venues directly for such matters. Thank you for your kind attention.
A total of 11 phone text messages asking me where eM Studio is. And they all ended with... "oh, the old Liquid Room, is it?"
OK, to make it plain and simple. Yes, it's the OLD LIQUID ROOM! Remember how it was? Remember how quaint SoundBar was?
The good old days, eh? They don't make clubs like that anymore, do they? Like most of you said, Helipad's a complete letdown in terms of music and the way it generally is. Well, that's why the good old days will always remain uncontested.
Anyways, hope this clears up where the hell eM Studio is. Stop asking. I'm surprised some don't even know where the fuck Gallery Hotel is but have been weekly regulars at Liquid Room back then. A perfect case of BRAND preceding the LOCATION.
By the way, I don't work for the club so STOP asking me to reserve tables for you. Don't be a lazy mofo. Call them yourself! I have better things to do, like watching the entire season of Robot Chicken and filing my nails. Don't expect to be spoon-fed all the time, can?
Thank you very much for releasing your long-overdued DVD. As always, it's hilariously racist. And you even mentioned your Singapore tour in your Dance Dance Revolution skit. However, we stand corrected that we sound nothing like the Hongkies. Get your accent and facts sorted, lah! And the game ain't that big here as it is in Taiwan or Japan.
Nonetheless, many thanks for your many pokes at the different Asian race. I'll go try some this weekend on the unsuspecting foreign workers at Little India... hang on, better not. I don't want to experience that "overwhelming blast of shit smell up my nose". (that's what he said that got me cracking)
And the bit about Indian men holding hands and pinkies, and swinging "that shit"... "with their dress pants and flip flops".
OMFG!!! I've waited so long for someone to talk about this about on a public platform.
Yes, the show was educational to say the least. Now I know that girls who like big dicks have big vaginas... hahahahaha! Cheers for giving me more fuck-type sick-ass jokes to tell at gatherings.
Your fan (who just downloaded your DVD*)
* hey, I don't believe in paying for anything if it's available for "FREE". Intellectual property what? Sorry, I no study so high. No no what you talking about. :p
Just completed a new megamix after having spent 5 days on it. This time round I'm only making 20 copies to give-away (ONLY at the end of the night). Why so? In view of the following :
1. New Year's Resolution to be more environmentally-friendly 2. I don't have the time (or additional budget) to make more. 3. My burner is utilized for some manic ripping of rental DVDs. 4. Limited quantity = higher price in eBay. 5. I ran out of CDRs and I'm too lazy to go out to get more.
So for those that will be staying in hope to get a copy... if you don't, please don't despair... just like everyone else, you can get it off my podcast the day after. It's the same, just that it doesn't come with a cool cover. And if I happen to secretly but somewhat blatantly to certain extent, slip you a copy... then you know you're in my "inner circle".
Meaning what? Well, if you have at one point or the other ever irritated us by requested for tunes during our sets before. Then you're NOT in the circle. How's that? Fair enough? I think so. Too bad if you think otherwise. Mwahahahaha!
But you really "die-die" have to get a copy... I accept cash and not alcohol. :p
I normally don't bother with such shows nor sharing them and etc. Not that they're no good but I don't listen to other mixshows to avoid duplicating their playlist and style subconsciously in my sets. Anyway, since this is basically flying the island's flag on a worldwide platform...

And for the bloody idiot that asked if I can play any HINDU songs... I don't think so! Not in this century, at least. Anyway, enjoy this equally stupid video instead :
The other shenanigan during Xmas Eve @ Majestic Bar...
It all started with a slippery nipple.
And then there were these!
Cousin Timothy
Slowly but surely, mayhem beckons.
Let the games begin
Harold (Gary) and Kumar (Ajay)
Cousin Terence and Eliza
The haze setting in slowly...
"Are we human or are we dancer..."
Just goes to show how great company, good drinks and conversation can make a great night out, no matter where you are. Not everything is about euphoria, blinking lights and excessively loud music.
Despite what you may think of the photo... we were both sober as a reformed alcoholic. We did this because we felt it was time to start an old-skool trend amongst the clubbing community... especially for those that want to quit smoking. It may seem unglamourous to you right now, but in years to come, those little menthol inhalers will be a fashion statement. Hahaha!
Thanks to one and all (my cousins too) that dropped by. Nothing beats watching the crazy antics of your friends and the bunch outside the smoking area singing "Mr Brightside" at the end of the night.
Got to meet a few new faces and it's always heartwarming to find out no matter how far one may be, music bridges the distance. So now I know that people (and Singaporeans) in Australia are subscribed to the Progressions podcast as well as my own. Some even use the mixes for their university dormitary parties. And it's great when they tell you that they'd rather listen those two podcasts instead of the over-commercialized radio shows from the big names. For once, I find people that believe in the local talents instead of the foreign ones. From what I'm told... even these two are subscribed...
Harold : "Dude you brought the lightsticks?" Kumar : "Who needs lightsticks when you got a Zippo?"
...one eve party down, NewYear's Eve next.

ODDBALL OF THE EVENING
Customer : "Can you play some Paul van Dyk" Me : "Sure. Any tunes from In Between is ok?" Customer : "Huh? Don't have For An Angel, ah?" Me : "That's quite old, you know?" Customer : "You mean he got new songs?" Me : "Not only new songs, but many others ALBUMS as well." Customer : "Huh? Is it? How come I don't know?"
Me thinking inside my head : "Coz you're just any frog in the well!"
What does Christmas mean to me? Nothing, to be honest. I've stopped believing in it many years ago when I found out that it's nothing but a pagan holiday disguised to benefit retail businesses. All that bollocks about having goodwill to all men? Come on, who are we kidding here? I feel nothing but complete disgust at the amount of foreign "talents" that are here taking our jobs away from us. Peace on earth? Oh, please. There will always be disgruntled sentiments, social riffs, racial differences and hatred for non-English speaking foreign "talents".
So did I succumbed to the custom of going out and buying gifts for others? Nope. I only bought one gift for one person only. That's it. And I've done so not because "it's a season to be giving". I'm doing so because of other reasons. Anyway, I'm not expecting anything from anyone, to be honest. What's Christmas to me? Just another day in the "office". I can't complain actually. Since I'm actually making money out of a commercialized holiday.
So spare me the Merry Xmas wishes and rah-rah. I'd rather prefer a beer. I mean, what do we really mean when we wish some one Merry Christmas anyway? Personally, I think it's just going through the pointless motion of the season.
It's been an eventful year with ups and downs in all quarters. And as we head towards 2009, we've got a couple of new mix sets for your downloading pleasure :)
More Balearic Trance goodies from as P@t digs further into his treasured collection to bring you more blissed out tunes for those beautiful sunsets by the beach. The mix series just gets better and better, doesn't it?
Get for fix with more minty fresh tunes and some highly sort-after bootlegs. For folks with an undying upfront tastes and a neck for searching for new releases, you might like this installment and perhaps find a future anthem or two (or three).
Fred E, otherwise known for delivery devasting trance sets, dives back into the deep end of things with this very laidback groover filled with cool minimal beats and tech house goodness. A perfect aural antidote for pre/post clubbing treatment.

A couple of parties you can head for this festive season...
A nice little downtempo / chillout companion to her recent "Disconnect" album. The laidback music and Jes Brieden's awesome heavenly vocals is downright compelling and an absloute triumph in the genre. For fans who adored the old chilled out Euphoria series... this is a great afterhours soundtrack or for those quiet intimate nights-in.
And for those that are still questioning my diversion into non-Trance territory as well as those that stick by their argument that House Music is non-essential...
...due out early next year. An all-time crossover House classic, being released on Armin van Buuren's Armada label. And if you're going to say that the mixes are probably done the Trance alley? Sorry to burst your bubble. I'm holding the promotion CDR and all the mixes from Rowald Steyn, Mischa Daniels and even Armin himself are electro-ish House interpretations.
More in stored in 2009. Trust me on this! I've got a stack of promotional CDRs from other Trance labels (including Paul van Dyk's Vandit label) that are going the OTHER direction.
One word. Versatality (is the key of survival). Not PURISM.
