Why do we have public hair?

ANSWER : CLICK HERE TO WATCH VIDEO

Don't worry, no pictures of pubic hair. Just some redundant images of birds and bees. Duh!

Here's what's so baffling with their explanation :

1. Increases the absorb of sweat and smell.
Err... just how much to you perspire DOWN THERE? Correct me if I'm wrong, the thicker the growth, the warmer it is and thus, doesn't it defeat the entire point of it?

2. They secrete hormones to attract the opposite sex. The smell is like perfume.
Hello... you mean they actually conducted experiments whereby they go about sniffing each other's bush? Like perfume? And all this while, I thought the Japanese were the only ones that were sexually-warped. Can you imagine them bottling the "scent" into little bottles called "Pubic Passion"? Ewww!!!

3. Increases the libido of a man?
I don't know about you but I'd be extremely turned-off with a hairy snatch. Makes navigation almost impossible, if you know what I mean?

When love and hate collide...

I just had breakfast with an old classmate of mine. Strangely, we never did really keep in contact until 8am this morning when I answered his call. Lucky for him, I was up reading the papers... otherwise, I'd have given him my "do you know what time it is" speech.

Conversations with old friends are always the same.

"How are you?"
"What are you doing nowadays?"
"Married yet? Got kids?"

Then he started to tear and in his bravest front, "I think my marriage is over."

"So why you telling me this? We haven't kept in contact and I hardly know what's going on with you."

"I just needed someone to talk to..."

I'm not about to plaster the rest of the morning here. I think he deserves his privacy and neither am I keen to share any of my personal details on a public platform. However, in general, this is what we concluded :

A marriage is broken because either one party, or the other, or both, isn't fully satisfying and fully functioning. But can it be really fixed? One thing for sure, it's NEVER GOING TO BE THE SAME. Try putting back a broken mirror. Basically, that "perfect heaven" that you once knew, now bears the cracks of imperfection. And if you can live with that, then perhaps the marriage is worth salvaging. Otherwise, sometimes you just have to walk away from the trees to be able to see the forest. Other times you have to fail before you can figure out how to succeed.

I'm no counselor, and neither am I an expert in the field of human relationships. All I know is, although marriage is a sacred contract... but if it breaks down and it ain't fixable anymore, do yourself and everybody else involved a favour. Get over with the formalities and move on, hard as it may SEEM to be.

The biggest clue is when little peculiarities about your spouse start to get on your nerves. That's when you should really start looking at the bigger picture. Personally, what makes a relationship work? When two people can stand and endure each other's flaws and bad habits.

After a long 3-hour chat, I hope my friend finds the path that he ought to take, whichever it may be. As with everything in life, there are always options... and it's really not up to me, nor some professional marriage counselor, and most definitely not your relatives to dictate your next move. You make the choice and live with it.

So much for the Sunday sermon. It's raining and I'll like to catch a few winks... after I finish with this hot mug of green tea.

What a Saturday :(

Blocked nosed. Giddy. Miserable. Random thoughts. Tired. Irritable.

Don't disturb. Lying in bed.

Busy trying to distract myself with some extreme metal from Norway and Sweden... who incidentally put Guns N Roses to shame with their speed, craft and technicalities.

I want to go to Evason Hua Hin...

... but there's yet another stupid uprising in Thailand now!

Hmmmpph!!!

And I want a beagle...
... but I need to get my own pad first!!!

Hmmmpph!!!

Thus the story of my unfulfilling life :(

And now for the most disappointing news... depending on where you stand. For me, I can't be arsed, but anyways... in case all you PROUD techno-purists don't know yet... your so-called techno-gods, namely Sven Vath and Richie Hawtin are... see for yourselves :)

Why? Learn to read inbetween the lines...

If you're as gullible as the average heartlander, then you'd believe EVERYTHING the news say, particular about her being the first Singaporean collateral damage in a terrorist act. Having known military personnels with (high security clearance) that have done their black ops term during the East Timor as well as the Indonesian unrest some time back, I can assure you, she's not the first. There were many before her. For whatever reasons known, the lot before her have been covered up. Just like the deaths of servicemen during National Service training; before the recent advancement of the mass communication platforms.

So why not cover this up as well?

Ms Lo’s father—in—law is grassroots leader.
(Mr S Puhaindran)

Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong knows Mr Puhaindran’s family and had attended their wedding last year.

Need I say more? If she was any other person, I'm sure it'll be conveniently swept under the rug just like all the ones prior to this tragic outcome.

Sure it's a tragedy, but lets be fair to the others that have unfortunately died as well. Especially those, in the line of service to make this country a safe place for foreign talents to invade and for more China nationals to conquer our pedestrian walkways with their bicycles.

Are we getting controversial enough yet?

You know what would really help in making the world less violent than it already is? AK-47s with a "feminine" touch, pink fluffy bullets and rocket launchers stuffed with candy floss.

And a little suggestion to the Indian Armed Forces instead on using grenade launchers in the midst of civilian hostages and bystanders? You were suppose to subdue and rescue, not fucking annihilate and demolish the hotel! Next time, get some PROFESSIONAL assistance instead. Some of the casualties were hit by friendly fire due to "visibility" issues (go figure this piece of sarcasm out). Some mercenaries are available at your disposal but one particular sure-fire one comes to mind...

Terrorists tremble at the mere mention of his name!

Okay, I know that the Indian army has seen fire fights, conflicts, turmoils, skirmishes and etc, but honestly, when your general looks like that...

...it doesn't really give you much of confidence, does it?

Or when your so-called border guards march like can-can dancers...

... and look more like peacocks than soldiers.

p/s with this current headlines, I bet that most of you have already forgotten the mentally-unstable zoo cleaner that got mauled a few weeks back. I told you so... that the death of a foreign talent here is insignificant! It's not that I'm heartless or unsympathetic. I'm stating the truth.

To the person who emailed me asking to "join your team at Progressions" because he can "bring something to the table"... how about a KFC bucket because we're all kind of hungry. And don't forget the Pepsi too.

Personally, nothing against you but I already had one bad experience dealing with one "MOSS" person. Good luck with the other doors, dude. We only open for food delivery at the moment.

A world gone mad...

You can't be more right to think that the world is in a complete mess right now. With financial markets hitting all time lows, China's continued efforts to take over the world with their endless stream of minions, terrorists running amok, political protest that's causing more damage to the country than it's corrupted governing leaders... the list grows each day!

And with the environment going topsy-turvy, sharks are now migrating to a swimming near you! They're worse than "buayas" because they'll literally CHASE and EAT you. So the next time you take a dip in the pool, bring along a spear gun. You never know what's lurking...

And in my continued bid to denounce the PC and Microsoft...

My dad's using Vista, unfortunately... and he complains about it almost everyday since he got it. Today, he finally gave up and decided to use my Macbook instead. The complains have stopped. Anyway, to be completely un-bias, I gave it (Vista) a go earlier today and quite honestly? It's bloody retarded, as with all Windows OS before it. I now they are going to unveil the newest addition... touch screen OS. Like... bite me and call me a chickadee! Bill Gates is evil. Period!

p/s on a more serious note, we all know about the Singaporean woman who become a casualty in the Mumbai hostage crisis. One of our ministers said that it's "a tragedy for all Singaporeans". I don't mean to be unsympathetic but I really don't see what he's driving at. It's tragic, I agree. But a TRAGEDY for all of us true bred citizens? Choose your words properly. You should sack your script writer!

You know what's a fucking tragedy? The ongoing violence in India that the US are not even intervening... because the only oil there is coconut oil and we all know how pointless and cheap that really is.

Judging a book by it's cover...

You just know it when House Music is swimming in utter shite when it has releases like the above. A million corny captions aplenty about the ugly-bomb-dud gracing the record sleeve. Seriously... is it suppose to entice you or to deter you to buy? Someone really has bad taste in packaging, if you ask me. Music wise... as bad as the cover. Multi remixes that all sound the bloody same. Sorry if you're a House-advocate but this really suck eggs!

And to one particular local "DJ" that has been bugging me to no end, if you say you've been playing out for quite a while and still yet to make an impact... then perhaps...

... please stop asking me / us to "collaborate" or seek a helping hand. The government taught us one thing, that nothing is for free, and I'm certainly not a charity cause. I'm in it for the money, not for the "passion" of it, or for the sake of "building" the scene.

I suggest you go re-access yourself. Maybe it's the music you play, maybe it's just you.

Text message last night... "Hey Yukun, aren't you checking out the opening of Zirca?"

I replied with this attached picture...

Ever heard of the saying OLD WINE IN NEW SKIN? Then again, the general clubbing public are complete idiots. 'nuff said. The paint not completely dry yet, I'm going back to watch the rest of the drying process.

Thanks for sharing the sunset...

For the true blue peeps (who didn't make convenient excuses) and made their way down to catch the sunset with us to the melodious sounds of Salt Tank's "Eugina", we thank you for the die-hard support and the great company.

Despite the requests for the same 10 stale-as-fuck trance anthems (which we ignored), those that were otherwise more receptive in terms of being more open-minded as to what we want to dish out... generally had a wonderful time.

More Jez-cam snaps can be found at the Progressions Facebook Group
as well as HERE (courtesy of Stephen "Trust")

Check out the captions in the Youtube video!
More videos of the nite HERE and HERE.

Told ya that you'll be missing a lot if you ain't in Facebook :p

We've also got a couple of downloads for those that missed out on our limited promotional CD giveaways...

P@t's Anticipate 5 promo CD
Yukun's Journey Into Sound Megamix CD

... and also recorded directly into the lappy during the set :
