Chivas Live At RVP Set To Hit The Party Scene In Singapore By Storm!

Partygoers looking to get away for a unique music experience during the Formula One weekend do not have to look any further. Come September 26, Chivas Live will introduce yet another unique party experience in Singapore. This time, the inimitable concept is to have people partying in an empty pool with showers of rain, to the live beat of British ambient trance guru act Chicane at the defunct River Valley Swimming Complex from 10pm till late.

For the locals who may have fond memories of the long forgotten swimming complex, Chivas Live at RVP aspires to awe them with a total transformation of the abandoned pool, making this party yet another first in Singapore's partying history. The successful Chivas Live launch at Cavenagh Bridge in March this year, which featured Kyoto Jazz Massive's first ever live set in Singapore, showcased the brand's promise of a unique music experience. Once again, this next instalment
introduces the "alternative" venue to be at for their discerning audience.

"Chivas Live is a music platform that promises to redefine the way we live our life, and embodies the whisky brand's declaration of enjoying a life less ordinary. Through a series of exclusive unique music experiences, we aim to deliver the ultimate parties to be at, while ensuring that each one stands apart from the next," said Mr Alfred Goh, Brand Manager for Chivas.

Goh added: "We want to go against the grain and do something exceptionally different. Furthermore, we also want to provide partygoers and music lovers with an alternative entertainment platform aside from the Formula One parties."

Gracing the decks for the first time in Singapore, Nick Bracegirdle and his band aka Chicane will arrive fresh on the shores with an astounding electronic music live set extravaganza. Nick, once dubbed the "godfather of the Ibiza anthem" has progressively moved away from producing solely dance and his sound has evolved to encapsulate the full energy and diversity of live electronica. The Chicane live experience has travelled the globe from Moscow to Manila and will make an exclusive one-night only appearance in Singapore for Chivas Live at RVP.

Nick first burst into the electronic music scene in 1997 with his debut album Far From the Maddening Crowds. The classic hit "Offshore" fast became the sacred song on dance floors internationally. Apart from his own projects, the multi-talented producer, DJ and songwriter had also collaborated with legendary music artistes like Bryan Adams, Cher and Tom Jones to name a few. The expansion of the Internet in 2003 caused Nick a massive setback and Chicane soon became a victim of internet bootlegging.

His return in 2006 with the single "Stoned in Love" was greatly welcomed by fans who celebrated this new and evolved Chicane sound. While the essence of dance remains strong, the novelty of a rock/ indie edge has been introduced to give Chicane's sound added bite and on September 26, Singapore will play witness to this music evolution at Chivas Live at RVP.

Entry to the Chivas Live event is exclusively available by invitation only. Interested party-goers can register online at www.chivaslive.com.sg for their chance to receive an invite.
