Hoo-hum...

To the various handphone text messages...

"Are you going to check out so-and-so tonight / next week?"
"Did you check out my rush job demo mix CD?"
"What do you think of this/ that new single?"
"What do you think of my new ideas?"
"What do you think of this bunch of new DJs?"
"Did you check out the new bar at wherever?"

To the above and so forth... the answer :

I'd rather go laugh my arse off watching Little Britain.

And the most redundant piece of news this week...
Singapore sent its biggest contingent to the Asian Games in Doha and the 132 athletes returned with 27 medals - 8 golds, 7 silver and 12 bronzes. It is Singapore's best ever performance at the Asiad.

Like anyone of us really cared or actually felt a sense of national pride, especially when medals are won by "mercenary" athletes. Like we so feel Li Jia Wei's anguish for not winning the loot. So how winning gold medals equate to contributing to the country's development and economy? Allow me to explain. Medal winners are rewarded with quite large sums of tax-free money and thus, giving them extra pocket money to do their Christmas shopping... and in the process, the retailers that they frequent will benefit. So do you see the neccessity of "investing" millions of dollars into the cultivation of local-bred sportsmen and the importing in of athletes (that were rejected by their own countries). I'm sure you figure that one out, right? But honestly, I think we rather pay attention to the EPL title chase instead.
