Radio Show Updates

For those that have been avid listeners to Wednesday's Private Reserve, today was the 36th episode. Thus far, we've managed to feature quite a wide eclectic range of afterhours sound ranging from the standards to the odd indie pop, from infectious bossa nova to sun-drenched house sounds, from emo-filled downtempo to some really unique locally-produced beauties. The show takes a break and will return 3rd January 2007. We all need a breather sometimes. I just need a damn good break.

The remaining shows on Lush FM will be the Xmas Eve and NYE Lush Mix specials, which will be taking a more upbeat ala Hed Kandi house sound, both of which was pretty fun to do, with re-edits and slice-ups to put in 16 tracks under one hour each. On the whole, the shows with the station has thankfully given me a whole new fresh perspective into music beyond what I usually play in the clubs. Looking forward to further involvement in 2007.

Anyway for those avoiding the maddening crowd on 24th and 31st December, you can tune into the station for the special mix shows by me at 11pm and Velvet Underground's Jeremy Boon at 12am.

The 60-minute guest mix for John Askew's show on VONYC was broadcasted on 7 Dec. Playlist here. Mike Koglin vs Seventh Heaven's "Calling You" and Jon O'Bir's "Ascendancy" is just so doing it for me at the moment. Top quality despite them being overlooked by the overhyped "big name" trance DJs.

*love sweats* again!
