Bad monkeys...
Had an interesting MSN chat yesterday with my ex-colleague from Emerald Hill Group and we concluded that even though we're in the "service industry" and that "customer service" may be our top priority, we can't afford to be TOO NICE because if we do, some monkeys will...
... which is a sad but true fact. Some people will eventually take us for granted just because we may occasionally accommodate to your whims and fancies. To those people who think they can do so, well... we've got no qualms in cutting short the "happy ever after". After all, just like a cancer, what's bad needs to be removed before it causes permanent damage.
What am I referring too? Let me be blunt (as always)...
1. Customers that think WE OWE THEM.
2. Customers that mistaken our friendliness for charity.
3. Customers that think they know more than we do about the business.
4. Customers with pigeon-hole point-of-view
5. Customers that constantly try to take advantage (i.e. freeloaders)
Still don't get it? You won't want me to explain it in a more blatantly fashion? (i.e. with YOUR NAMES plastered here).
