So what?

SMS Message : "Dude, so-and-so played a damn wicked Progressive and Trance set last night. Maybe you can consider collaborating with them or maybe even book them for your events?"

My Reply : "I don't care if anyone can mix seamlessly while being blindfolded, hands bounded and balls dosed with pepper sauce. Being technically good does not contribute to the agenda if he/she does not command a following with a substantial spending power."

For the record, I'm not looking to rope in or to collaborate with anyone unless the workload gets heavier. The reason why I distant myself with certain "largest collective" and etc, is because I'm not doing this for the PASSION of it. I take this as a very serious business. And it's not about fun and games. To date, I'm only working with a handful of DJs that I trust. They're not interested in the latest trend / releases / gears. Being purists are the last thing on their minds and they're very much concern about the more important aspects of the business as a whole.

Sure, you say you can bring something to the table. But if you think about it... if you really had SOMETHING, you won't be knocking on people's door. We'll be knocking on yours instead. So to end, despite "being around for quite a while" and you've yet achieve what you're supposed to... then maybe quitting is not such a bad idea. It's either you get it, or you don't. Now stop bothering like a pesky little housefly... or tell me how I should do things.

And just to clear some strange misconception that's going around amongst the completely fucking clueless... P@t is NOT FROM Trance Republic. Neither am I or any of my boys (well, except for one which quit from their outfit). My advice to those that want to "act smart" but "dunno what is what"... please go suck your thumb instead of saying things that make you even more cock than you look.

And now comes the educational part of the blog...

WHAT IS "PUNANI"?

Punani may refer to:

  • Punani, Sri Lanka, a small hamlet in Sri Lanka made famous in 1920 by a man-eating leopard
  • A Jamaican Patois term for the vagina or vulva, used as slang in British/American English
  • Hawaiian slang for "vagina" or "vulva", derived from the Hawaiian word "puanani" meaning "beautiful flower".
  • Punani is a brown bean, which is grown in the Himalayas. It has a symbolic value in religious rites that are held to honour the goddess of fertility
Like Glenn Ong (that radio DJ) once said as an emcee at a wedding reception in Botanical Gardens... "go check out some of the orchids here, I swear some of them will remind you the female genitalia."

You be the judge... :p
