Technical Rider

Every time I do a gig overseas, I'm always asked for my technical rider. I've always kept it simple... asking only for the specific DJ gear, and never more. But I've seen some "technical" requirements for some internationals which will ask for more beyond the technical stuff. Tiesto asked for "boy of legal age" when he toured Indonesia. Ooops, my bad, industry secret.

Anyway, this is the very basic that I'd normally ask for...


Pioneer CDJ1000 MK3 (with updated firmware)


Pioneer DJM-800 or any equivalent digital mixer


Serato SL3

And to be honest, I've been tempted many times to list the following "out-of-the-norm" items into the rider... for the sake of indulgence.


A cooler box packed with Corona's


A bottle of Malibu rum


A dozen cans of Coke Zero


Cheesy Fries

And if P@t is DJing alongside with me, a can each of


Cashew Nuts


Caramel Walnuts

And if there's an afterhours gathering of sorts after the gig...


A bottle of Grey Goose


Half dozen of Pokka Green Tea

Ohh... and in case of hunger pangs...


A box of assorted donuts

Well, one can fantasize, can't I?
