Fuck Bill Gates, Microsoft, Windows and PCs!
I'm about to make a huge decision to get rid of the TWO PCs in the house and totally convert to Mac. I really had it with Microsoft and their constant excuses of providing an unstable OS platform. Whoever beg to defer that PC sucks... I think you're kidding yourselves!
This is the 3rd time in 3 months that I need to reformat / reboot / re-whatever-you-wanna-call-it, FROM SCRATCH. Never in my 1 year with my Macbook had I a single problem. By the way, I'm posting this via the Mac. The fucking PC's still reformatting... or something like that. God knows what the fuck it's really doing.
Just when I was finishing up the remaining three Lush 99.5 FM shows and as I was about to SAVE everything... oh no, not fucking again! Tell me that didn't happen. The dreaded "blue screen of death".
Even my dad was sad because he knows how much effort and time I've put in the entire day. He was trying so hard to reassure me and stuff... making sure I won't go to the storeroom to grab that axe and grind the goddamn CPU. Seriously, I would and then send every piece back to Bill Gates.
Don't tell me to try this or that because I tried every fucking thing possible. Even starting up in SAFE MODE. All my audio components fail to load. Problem? Something to do with the fact that I don't have Internet Explorer 7. What the fuck?
It tells me that I need to have that crappy browser.. wait... there's more frustration to what this bloody Compaq "craputer" has to churn out.
So I finally rebooted / recovered the motherfucker after 4 hours. Guess what? All my fucking files, documents and programmes are gone. By some miraculous force, it somehow decided to go back to it's original factory settings. Sure I've backed up most of my audio software but can you imagine the tedious work of re-installing and validating each program?
Nonetheless, I went about putting back what I needed... and finally after another 3 hours... guess what? A bloody icon pops up to tell me that the CPU battery is dying and that I need to buy a new one or the computer will not run at it's full capacity. A desktop CPU has a battery? For fuck?
This computer is a about a year old and it is running as if i had it for the past century. Seriously, Microsoft and Windows are so unreliable.
I guess what I'm about to earn this month through the gigs is going to finance a new iMac and probably with a 1TB time capsule in January. That will once and for all stop all these nonsense.
On the brighter side of things, thanks to a mate that recently from his work in Europe... I got a very early Xmas present that's going into my iPod RIGHT BLOODY NOW!!!!!!!!!
