With all the great freebies out there, great time for my iPod to depart for the great electronic gadget heaven above. And it's just slightly after the one-year warranty! Those engineers are brilliant, I tell you. Now I'm depressed. It feels as if a part of me has died. And it's not a matter of just "buying a new one". These sort of things kind of grow onto you. It's like a pet... while, mine was more like a companion for all times. The journeys, the times, the sleepless nights and the many situations it has gone through with me... moreover, they don't make 160GB iPod Classic anymore! Can you imagine the vast amount of music and movies I had in there?!

I refused to retire it as a paperweight just yet. I'm going to try my luck and send it for a diagnosis. Hopefully, it can be revived. Crossing all my fingers (and toes).

p/s for those suffering the same fate, ever considered giving your iPod a dignified burial?
