On to the next phase...

It's been over 12 hours since my dad was given general anesthetic. The bypass procedures are done and he's been in the Intensive Care Unit since Friday evening. I can't begin to describe what I see before me so instead of a heartbreaking picture, here's a sunflower instead...

... but I'll know he'll do fine eventually. Afterall, prior to being pushed into the operating theatre the fighting wardog flashed this at all of us...

How often do you get to see that from a patient that's just about to go through a major heart operation? That very image of him is giving me the strength to remain a pillar for both my mother and my younger sister to lean on during this worrying period.
