On a slow Thursday... Faithless does it again!

As of late, there's nothing much exciting in the world of electronic music releases that is really worth the time to listen. Almost everything that's being released recently is a tedious pain to even bother with. Until now. Well, personally for me at least. Old-hands Faithless returns with their fifth studio album "To All New Arrivals", a tribute of sorts to the brand new babies of band-members Rollo and Sister Bliss. Known for their social analysis, the lead single "Bombs" (anti-war stance) makes a good intro to the album which is a testimonial that shows the outfit's fine form and capabilities in producing great electronic ditties; blurring the borders between dance and rock to new and exciting levels. Thankfully, this album removes the bad after-taste of that Aids Awarness piece of wank Maxi Jazz did with Tiesto last year.

The album just grows on me with every listening. From down tempo to driving proggy-numbers, Faithless does what they do best in making tunes that are interesting. Stand out track for me thus far is "Spiders, Crocodiles and Kryptonite", which cheekily samples the Cure's "Lullaby" to great effect.

"On candystripe legs the spiderman comes
Softly through the shadow of the evening sun
Stealing past the windows of the blissfully dead
Looking for the victim shivering in bed
Searching out fear in the gathering gloom and suddenly
A movement in the corner of the room
And there is nothing I can do
When I realise with fright
That the spiderman is having me for dinner tonight"

By the way, I think Spiderman's damn gay...

In the meantime, bare with us... still in the midst of sorting out some ownership transfer issues, logistics details and other matters. We'll be back with the next gig soonest once the usual obstacles are dealt with.

Would hereby also like to wish Aldrin all the best with his future plans. One of the better exported names in the international circuit is calling it quits after 10 good years with Zouk. Whatever it is, wherever it is... keep the wicked tunes coming! The "Aldrin & Akien Regrooved Mix" of Electrico's "Love In New Wave" is a downright infectious groover.
