Perfect setting, articulate deco, balearic beach vibe, lovely sunset, great view, truckloads of beautiful people all around (the power of a massive advertising blitz) and the Chivas running out really fast! That about sums it up for what you missed from last night's Lush FM 2nd Anniversary Party at the one-week old Cafe Del Mar; which as a newbie, has quite a few pull factors going for them at the moment. For the first time in months, I really had great fun deejaying (from the creative perspective) for the entire 90-minute set. It's always such fun to play a set beyond what I'm pigeonholed with... and creating the familiar soundtrack that the brand name is known for. Cheers to residents Hong + Shawn Tulsi and the rest of the staff I met for the warm hospitility... and bottles of booze! This outlet gets my vote for those bored witless with the usual clubbing palate and wanting cool music with a different club environment offering. With the right company and music selection, the beautiful bar is almost paradise. The beach bar culture just got much more interesting now with this arrival.
