Asean Scam-pionship

"Are you going to watch the Thailand vs Singapore final later?"

Are you kidding? The point being? I rather to catch spiders.

It's not really the Singapore NATIONAL team, is it? Half of which are "imported citizens". What national pride? Morever, watching them play is like watching the neighbourhood school kids kicking a plastic ball around the basketball court. It'll be a one-sided game anyway. No flair, no strategy, no Majullah Singapura! And you ask why the Kallang Roar is dead? I'm no expert but I think I know crap when I see it.

You know what? I envy the Thais. At least they've got a national team worth rooting for... none of that foreign talent bollocks. For them, a win is not just about prize money. It's about boasting rights, it's about patriotism and most importantly, it's about heart. And I truly hope they win. I've wagered that they'll open scoring first anyway. Afterall, they've the hunger and the necessary "talismans".

Ever seen a toothless tiger getting mauled? Morale of the day, as always... imported does not necessary mean any good. Remember, they're probably from the bottom of the barrel back home thus they're here. Try importing Beckham and Ronaldo.

9.56pm
OK... the Lions won. So? I still win my wager that the Thais will score first.
By the way, I didn't watch. I was catching spiders

I'm actually ashamed to be called a Singaporean... afterall, the citizenship and PR status is touted like a whore to almost any foreigner.

Anyway, trust the media to hype it up as if they have won the World Cup. Pride of Asean? Oh please... if anyone who should be proud are the Japs and the Koreans. They've players in the Liga and the EPL. And we have Daniel Bennett, a reject from Div 4.
