Phone text message from colleague : "Shit! I lost money on Portugal last night! Of all teams, they lost to the Swiss! How can?"
My reply : "Bet with your brain and not with your heart. Blind faith will never prevail. Logic always does. Win or lose, Portugal has already qualified for the next round so they need not field their first 11. Morever, it's the perfect scenerio for any team to field their reserves and GIVE FACE to the co-host. This is not the first time it has happened..."
Jeez, some people never learn, do they? There should not be a favourite team when it comes down to punting if you really want to improve your odds at winning.
Tra-la-la... OFF TOMORROW so I'll keep my dad company for the late matches tonight.
