And then there's Peter Hook...

This topic is hot on the web amongst the industry. So Peter Hook, bassist for Joy Division & New Order has taken to getting flown around the world for DJ gigs. The sad thing, is that he's not actually DJing, just prancing around like a twat and 'tweaking' the EQs. The above video is further evidence of what a fucking cunt he is.

Not much to say, is there? Perhaps everyone should go to his gig just to get a good laugh. 5 minutes of such theatrics is more than enough to give you a fucking tummy-ache. And maybe someone should traumatize him with a mobile phone request... "please stop pretending!"

In a past entertainment magazine, he was quoted : "I don't use headphones because I don't mix very much".

This is in his Wikipedia page : "Since 2002, Hook has begun doing DJ sets, though numerous videos recorded of him live show him doing nothing more than playing a free CD included in Mixmag."

Don't you wish you got paid for miming a mix CD and messing with the EQ's.

Perhaps the next time I DJ, I'll do a Peter Hook, just for laughs. I need to brush up on my knob tweaking technique though.

But seriously, thank God for Peter. Since the scene is full of superficial punters who go to clubs and gigs because it's COOL to be there, then they deserve every mix CD playing piss taker they get! I'm sure they don't mind being DUPED and having their money short-changed once in a while.
