Why rockstars should not DJ!

This video clip says it all. It's the funniest shit I've seen in years! Much as I adore New Order and Joy Division; and respect Peter Hook for his work with the bands, but I think he should be banned from passing off as a DJ. You were up until about four minutes ago, a legend in my eyes. I've not seen such exaggerated antics since Paul Oakenfold. I swear I see him PANTING after bopping around too much. Well, he's 52 years old. He drinks way too much (like all rockstars), and God knows how many excessive lines of cocaine he does before "DJing". I won't be surprise that he suffers a cardiac arrest during one of his DJ "sets".

What's with the fingers on the knobs when he hardly does ANYTHING? He's seems to be holding on to the knobs for balance. And isn't it amazing that he doesn't need headphones to mix at all? Much like the "trance-God" Tiesto sometimes who can "mix" with his hands in the air... clapping! It's like the Jedi mind-trick or something.

I think it's such a fucking crying shame that DJs like him are getting paid shitloads just to play a premix CD and "tweak" EQ's all night. By the way, I have a copy of the CD that he's playing. It's the Mixmag (Feb 2004) cover CD called "Future Classics - Big Tunes 2004", mixed by Pete Tong.

Thanks for the great music you've made as a musician and for making a complete mockery out of the DJ craft... you hilarious big fat cunt! I feel sorry for the clubs / promoters / clubbers who pay good money to watch a monkey on coke.

Next thing you know it, Jon Bon Jovi wants to DJ too and fatty Meatloaf wants to do club marketing. Maybe I should gather a bunch of DJs, hold a concert, jump around, PRETEND that we play instruments and mime out-of-sync to New Order CDs.

My search continues to expose Tiesto as a fraud... in the meantime, for those that still insist that DJs are a bunch of musically-no-talent twats... well, some are actually... this clip of well choreographed turntablism doesn't get any fresher!
