All day, all day... watch them all fall down...

This is so bloody freaky, I woke up today with the intention to clear out more of my vinyl junk and first record I pulled out from the dusty-covered stack... and it's still in it's original shrink-wrap!

Domino...
... the under-rated word of the moment.

About over a decade ago, I was working for an independent domestic recording label. We were considered an industry giant for a while... boasting huge pop artistes like Backstreet Boys, Britney Spears, Aaliyah, R Kelly, Damage and etc. We even had credible electronic acts like Chicane, Carl Cox, Sasha & John Digweed, Paul Oakenfold, Keoki... but alas, something went dreadfully wrong at the top executive level which resulted in an exodus of key personals as well as the front-liners. Thereafter, that listed company filled those positions within a short span of time but sadly, those replacements did not have the calibre their predecessors had. Today, that label no longer exist. If they had addressed the ROOT OF THE PROBLEM... then perhaps they would still be in the game.

It's pretty common isn't it? I'm sure many of you face this at your work places and etc. Why do people seem to ignore what's wrong and pretend everything will work itself out? You know what they say about an unattended wound. It festers until it's too late. The damage may take years to take effect but it eventually will. I've seen it far too many times and it's quite tiring to say... "I told you so!"

It's a tough world but with a little open-mindedness and a little endurance... nothing is impossible. Times are a-changing with every passing day. Without the ability to take notice, adapt, improvise and provide, one might as well not bother playing the game. You can take that to the bank and cash it...

p/s I'm not insinuating anything here. Just a passing thought I had while I took my morning dump.
